PCF works primarily in the rural Haitian towns of Cotes-de-Fer (locality of Jamais Vu “Corail Lherisson”), Miragoane, Paillant, Petit Goave (locality of Arnoux), and Petite Riviere de Nippes. Between 2012 and 2014 it provided assistance to children/families in Ramier, a tiny community near Fonds-des-Blancs which at the time included a high percentage of people with physical disabilities. PCF collaborates and assists other partners involved in promoting the welfare of vulnerable children in the city of Anse-d’Hainault.
In all of these areas, many basic services and necessities that are taken for granted by people elsewhere – such as healthcare, primary and secondary education, and potable water – are limited or inaccessible to all but a privileged few. Our goal is to serve as many disadvantaged children as possible in these communities and to eventually branch out to other underserved localities in Haiti’s rural countryside.
